Mission: To ensure all student parents have the opportunities to succeed and experience economic mobility, Generation Hope engages education and policy partners to drive systemic change and provides direct support to teen parents in college as well as their children through holistic, two-generation programming.
Our Scholar Program surrounds teen parents with mentoring, tuition assistance, a peer community, and other vital, wrap-around services. Generation Hope Scholars graduate at a rate that is double the rate for low-income college students and eight times the rate for single mothers nationwide.
Primary Populations: African-American / Black, First-Generation College Students (current or future), Low-income and/or Pell Grant Eligible, Opportunity Youth (ages 16-24 not in school or working), Students from Greater New Orleans, Students of Color (all), Student Parents
