This session equips high school counselors with the knowledge and resources to better support LGBTQIA+ students as they navigate the college admission process. Participants will explore strategies for creating an inclusive and affirming advising environment, learn about LGBTQIA+- friendly college resources, and discuss how to address students’ unique concerns regarding campus climate, housing, and identity disclosure. Attendees will leave with actionable guidance to foster a safe, supportive, and equitable college admission experience for LGBTQIA+ students.
